‘100 Valleys: Poems of Time and Place in Douglas County, Oregon’ by Don Witten
Douglas County, Oregon has earned the title “The One Hundred Valleys of the Umpqua,” and within this book are one hundred narrative poems of the times, places, and people of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s of that region. While these poetic stories are about a particular location, many of the themes are universal to small town life across America.
